Who runs NutriPedia

NutriPedia is owned and run by Nutripedia, 5-7/206, Block 7, Sanjanas Interlaken, Dhulapally, Hyderabad 500100, India. Contact: nutripediaindia@gmail.com. If an editor has a business interest in a product we rate, they take no part in rating it, and the interest is shown on that product’s page.

How we earn money

NutriPedia earns money in two ways, and both are always labelled.

Brands can pay to have a product shown in our Sponsored strip and in Featured Products. Every one of these is labelled Sponsored on the card and on its page, which also says which brand paid for it.

  • The brand supplies the description; NutriPedia edits it and checks every claim against our rules (no weight-loss promises, no disease claims, only facts that can be checked on the label). A description that fails the rules is not published.
  • The Shop now button takes you to the seller’s own website. You buy from the seller, not from NutriPedia.
  • Listings run between fixed dates and are removed when the paid period ends.

Sponsored content is always labelled and never changes a rating. Payment does not affect any rating, rank or score, and sponsors cannot edit or remove a rating. Sponsored pages do not show ratings; if we also rate the same product independently, the sponsored page links to that rating.

Advertisements

Some pages show Advertisements chosen and served by Google (Google AdSense). They are labelled “Advertisement” and kept in their own boxes. NutriPedia does not choose, write or endorse these ads, and they do not follow our claim rules, though we block categories that conflict with them. Ads never appear on our Product Ratings pages, the How much should I eat? planner or Ask a Nutrition Expert. See our privacy notice for how Google uses cookies.

Where product ratings come from

Our product ratings are based only on the public information on each product’s Amazon.in listing: its written details and its images, read on the date shown on the rating page. We do not use the brand’s own website, other shops or other reviews for product facts, and we do not test products in a laboratory. The one exception is taste: our reviewer may taste a product and score it, and the rating page then says so. The listing is written by the seller, so a mistake on it can carry into our rating; brands can ask us to correct a fact, and every correction is logged.

What we never accept

  • Payment, free products or gifts in exchange for a rating, a better rank or a review.
  • Requests to remove or change a rating, except to correct a fact, which we log publicly.

Personal assistance offers

If you ask our nutrition experts a question and switch on “personal assistance with weight management”, we or a trusted partner may contact you about paid plans. This is optional, separate from your answer, and explained in our privacy notice.
