Lighter ways to have malabar parotta
- Have one parotta instead of two and add a vegetable side
- Pair it with a protein-rich curry such as egg or chicken rather than a creamy kurma
- Ask for it without extra oil on top
- A whole-wheat (atta) parotta or chapati gives more fibre for the same filling plate
- Make it an occasional choice: maida gives very little fibre
